Abstract：This article summarizes the current situation of the world's music cities selected by UNESCO Network of Creative
Cities in Music from 2004 to 2019. Based on the evaluation of diferent cities by the UNESCO Network of Creative
Cities in Music, it is summarized into 4 types: City of international music events; City of regional music; City of
musical tradition and history; City of music industry and education. Analyze the similarities and diferences of urban
strategies and provide advice for the application of China.
