Abstract：This paper reviewed the ranking method of The Best cities in the U.S. for runners released by SmartAsset, focusing on
Arlington, Virginia ,which has ranked first for two consecutive years and analyzing the running routes in Arlington.The
paper divided the running routes into Trail Route, Park Route, and Street Route, preliminary explore the basic characteristics,
which could provide the theoretical foundation for building cities which are best for runners.
