Abstract：The architecture joint graduation design project of Tongji University & Jilin Jianzhu University 2021 was
“Yangpu Riverside High-Density Innovation District”, which aimed to discuss the vitality creation of contemporary
Chinese urban space from two aspects of “high density” and “city-industry integration”. This
paper briefly introduces the authors’ “Space Priority” teaching process and some thoughts on the current
teaching approaches of urban design and architectural design.
