MiYiSuo 002: Graffiti Wall in the Demolition Site, Kangding Road, Shanghai,China
JIANG Haomao
FORM
The white wedding dress is particularly eye-catching with the smashing
brick walls,
messy rubble, and
crazy graffiti.
Against the backdrop of two tall buildings behind,
which look strong but indifferent,
the scene is really unique and vivid.
The graffiti on the wall made the originally worthless demolition site jump into
a highly artistic place.
SPACE
Demolition made the deliberately designed urban space disintegrated into large open-air wasteland,
and passers-by can freely walk around,
without being restricted by the spatial logic and
the division of property rights.
The unmanned state has enhanced the publicity and
given the opportunity for the “wild art” such as graffiti to thrive.
LOCATION
The demolition site here is located at
600 Lane, Kangding Road, Shanghai.
The graffiti walls have been completely dismantled
on January 24, 2015.
