涂装成卡通长颈鹿的图案，
形成令人耳目一新的
网红打卡地。

空间

磕头机也称作抽油机，
是一种用来在油田开采石油的机器。
通过美术设计，
将幼儿园旁边的
工业设施进行装饰，
使其不再是冰冷的机械，
反而变成儿童眼中
憨态可掬的可爱形象。
涂装后的磕头机守护了孩子的童心，
也成为市民眼中的新地标，
吸引了很多人合影留念。
这样的做法
对于将当今城市中基础设施
改造成新的城市公共空间，
具有启发意义。

临近东营市东营区文苑幼儿园。

How to create a nice place 
where there are a kindergarten surrounded by cold machines? 
The education department and the petrochemical company in Dongying city 
have four pumping units painted into cartoon giraffe pattern, 
forming a pop-ular attract.

SPACE

The pumping unit is used to extract oil from oil fields. 
The four pumping units here are deco-rated through art design. 
They are no longer a cold machines, which becoming lovely animal in children's eyes, bringing joy for them. 
And they've also become a new landmark of the city. 
This approach has significance for transforming the infrastructure 
in today's cities into new urban public spaces.

The Giraffe-like Pumping Units is located at the intersection of Zhaoyuan Road and Jinggang-shan Road, 
adjacent to Wenyuan Kindergarten, Dongying City, Shandong Province.
