弥异所129：上海沙美大厦

百年的沙美大厦保留着典型的

新文艺复兴建筑样式，

只是长久的空置使这座原本美丽的

建筑失去了功能也没有了生机，

而今天

它却作为网红打卡地被唤醒。

人们慕名而来，

径直登上大厦屋顶，

或者走到巴洛克风格的阳台上，

停下脚步开始欣赏

这座城市。

空间

午后时光里，

自阳台上向下看，

是城市的车水马龙，

向远处看是“陆家嘴四件套”

构成的城市天际线，

一群鸽子在老楼上空盘旋，

城市的百年历史汇聚于眼前，

摄影师此时举起相机，

同时他也成了城市图景的一部分。

沙美大厦位于上海市四川路与北京东路交叉路口。

FORM

The century-old Shamei Building 

retains the typical 

Neo-Renaissance architecture style,

however the long-term vacancy 

makes this originally beautiful building 

lose its function and vitality; 

while today it is awakened 

as web celebrity.

People come straight 

to the roof of the building, 

or to the baroque balconies, 

where they stop and admire the city.

SPACE

In the afternoon from the balcony, 

watching the flows of cars 

and people along the street, 

the four super high-rise buildings of Lujiazui

standing there forming a skyline, 

and a flock of pigeons 

hovering over the old buildings, 

and feeling like seeing 

the 100 year history of the city, the 

photographer raises his camera at the moment, 

and becomes a part of the urban scenario.

Shamei Building is seated at the crossing of Sichuan Road and Beijing North Road in Shanghai.
