Abstract:In recent years the number of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) groups has been increasing. Statistics in 2021 show that in
America about one in every 44 children is diagnosed with ASD. Autism-related fields such as psychiatry, psychology, and
behavioral science, neuroscience, etc., have been carrying out research gradually. Design concerns for people with autism
have been formed and developed in the past two decades, currently focusing on Western research, among which Magda
Mostafa is an internationally recognized expert in the field of architectural design for people with autism. This article
introduces Magda’s main achievements in this field — ASPECTSSTM , from the aspects of design methods and tools,
design factors, special spaces and her architectural practices.
