“Research, Education, Creation and Assistance” Synergizes
“Internal Promotion and External Guidance”:
Exploring the Path of University’s Involvement in Rural Space Construction from
the Perspective of architecture
Abstract:The construction of rural spaces is a crucial step in achieving rural rejuvenation. Currently, there are two modes of
“internal promotion” and “external introduction” in rural space construction from the perspective of architecture.
Universities, as one of the major forces in rural construction, have the distinct advantages of precise practice with
research as a guide and then refining theoretical research from practice in both modes. However, there is a problem
with the subject’s dissonance and brief effect in the rural practice where universities intervene. Based on this, this paper
develops the framework of “research, education, creation and assistance” as the action path of university intervention in
rural areas, and creates a bridge between university’s architectural creation and rural revitalization by working with the
construction mode of “internal promotion and external guidance”, in order to promote the construction of rural space
and provide feedback for further improvement of the architecture education system at the same time.
