Abstract：This article mainly focuses on the concept and characteristics of the new research university, analyzes the tasks of
the new research university in knowledge innovation, talent training, industrial collaboration, and value delivery, as
well as its new requirements for campus space planning, and puts forward The following development trends: build
a comprehensive platform for interdisciplinary teaching and research, break the traditional university’s architectural
layout model set by disciplines or departments; build an open, innovative, and collaborative campus space, promote
academic exchanges and industry-university-research cooperation; strengthen campus culture to enhance academic
atmosphere and humanistic environment; to promote the construction of a digital, intelligent, and green campus, and to
