Landscape Enhancement and Courtyard Renovation of Lanman Alley

Abstract:This article discusses the conservation and renewal project of the Fayuan Temple cultural heritage area in Xicheng
District, with a particular focus on the landscape improvement and pilot courtyard renovation of Lanman Alley.
The project, initiated in 2018, adopts a problem and goal-oriented approach to implement small-scale, gradual
organic renewal strategies. Through the improvement of municipal infrastructure, building vacating, and business
transformation, it aims to enhance the quality of life for residents and protect the historical style of the district. The
project also strengthens party construction leadership, forming a community governance model of co-governance and
sharing, deeply excavates historical and cultural values, and promotes municipal transformation with new materials
and technologies, carefully designs to protect the style of historical and cultural districts, revitalizes vacated spaces,
achieves the upgrade and transformation of inefficient buildings, organizes traffic scientifically, introduces urban brain
to achieve intelligent management, and promotes the long-term construction of the community, creating brand strength.
