Abstract：The renovation of Dinghao Electronics Building Tower A in Haidian District is a prime example of urban industrial
renewal. Located in the heart of the Zhongguancun National Innovation Demonstration Zone, the building was
originally an electronics marketplace. As the area’s positioning evolved, the previous business model became
incompatible with the demands of the new era. Through a comprehensive renovation, the project transformed the
inefficient building into a high quality technology office space, improving the quality of the interior space, redesigning
the fa?ade and integrating with the surrounding urban environment. The renovated building has attracted leading global
technology companies and become a new landmark for the technology business in Zhongguancun. This study examines
the implementation process, effectiveness and innovative experiences of the project, and discusses the critical role of
urban renewal in promoting industrial upgrading and improving urban quality.
