Abstract：The Sky Horizon Industrial Plaza project in the Economic and Technological Development Area (ETDA) is a model
urban renewal initiative within Beijing’s Economic and Technological Development Zone. The site, formerly an
abandoned Danieli metallurgical equipment production base, has been repurchased and rebuilt into a green and smart
skyscraper factory focused on the biopharmaceutical industry. The project has not only improved land efficiency and
promoted industrial upgrading, but also successfully launched the listed company Sino Biological Inc. and is expected
to significantly boost economic growth by 2025. Using an innovative financing model, the project has integrated the
concepts of intensive and economical land use, industrial clustering, professional space carriers and a green common
park, offering new perspectives and practical examples for urban renewal.
