Abstract:The Fahai Temple Mural Art Museum project in Shijingshan District aims to preserve and display the mural paintings
of the Fahai Temple, which have a history of more than 500 years. These murals are known for their exquisite art and
distinctive period features, regarded as the pinnacle of Ming Dynasty murals. Since the murals need to be in lightproof
conditions for their preservation, their display is limited. To solve this problem, the project team transformed
the former Xishan Cuilin Tea House into an art gallery, adopting the country’s leading digital exhibition technology to
break through the limitations of traditional displays and provide viewers with an all-round interpretation of the murals.
The operation of the art gallery not only enhances the cultural quality of the Moshikou Historical and Cultural District,
but also promotes cultural exchanges, becoming an important cultural landmark on the Yongding River Cultural Belt in
Beijing’s Xishan.
