Abstract：The Kefeng Storage Facility Renovation Project in Fengtai District is an innovative urban regeneration practice that
transforms an abandoned coal storage warehouse into a multi-functional sports arena. The project is located near the
Fengtai Science & Technology Park in Beijing, and was originally a coal storage warehouse for the Kefeng Thermal
Power Company. Through a low-cost and fast-paced renovation approach, the project optimized the spatial functions
without changing the original building structure, providing sports facilities such as table tennis, badminton and
basketball to meet the sports needs of residents in the surrounding community. At the same time, the project introduced
an intelligent management system to achieve green, environmentally friendly and energy-efficient operations. This
renovation not only improves the efficiency of urban space utilization, but also provides convenient sports life services
for community residents and enhances community vitality.
