Abstract:The Beijing Subway Line 1 and Batong Line Interconnection Project is a significant urban renewal initiative aimed at
enhancing the efficiency and convenience of transportation infrastructure. Located at the Sihui Transportation Hub in
Chaoyang District, the project achieved the interconnectivity of systems including lines, power supply, communication,
and signaling through an 11-month renovation. Since beginning through-operation on August 29, 2021, it has
significantly improved passenger transfer efficiency, facilitated seamless connections between the central city area and
the sub-center, and effectively promoted urban renewal and green travel. This paper discusses the technical challenges
and innovative experiences encountered during the project implementation, as well as the crucial role of efficient
organizational management in urban renewal.
