Abstract:Urban renewal has become the main battlefield of urban planning and construction in China, and the construction of rail
transit systems in mega cities is an important means to activate urban renewal projects. In the face of the institutional
difficulties commonly encountered in renewal actions and rail transit construction and operation, this article takes
Shenyang as an example to propose a method for delineating TOD—specific renewal zones, as well as policy
recommendations for integrating urban renewal and TOD demonstration projects.
