Research on the Collaborative Mechanism and Optimization Path of “Space-Business Format-Operation” for the Revitalization and Renewal of Historic Cultural Districts: A Case Study of the Harbin Chinese Baroque District
Abstract：As important spatial vessels that embody urban memory, local culture, and public life, historic and cultural districts hold significant potential for revitalization in the context of urban renewal and the integration of culture and tourism. This paper examines how historic and cultural districts can transform from localized popularity into sustained vitality. Taking the Harbin Chinese Baroque District as a case study, this paper analyzes practical challenges such as underutilized space, inadequate adaptation of business formats, and weak long-term operations. This paper analyzes the foundations for revitalization and the contradictions in renewal, proposing a “Space-Business Format-Operation” collaborative mechanism. It aims to provide a reference for the renewal of similar historic and cultural districts through an implementation approach that integrates spatial capacity, business adaptation, and operational safeguards.
