Urban Design Research on “One Elderly and One Child” Facilities in Harbin Community under the Background of Cold-climate City Renewal: Taking the “Culture and Sports - Installation” Complete Community as an Example
Abstract:In severe cold climates, cities in cold regions face the dual challenges of declining quality of human settlement environment and demographic transition. Urban renewal is gradually shifting from incremental expansion to a smart contraction model centered on optimizing existing space. This paper takes the “culture and sports - installation” complete community in Harbin as the research object, exploring how to achieve coordinated supply of service facilities for the “elderly and children” groups through spatial reconstruction and functional complementarity against the backdrop of intensified aging and the agglomeration of young talents.
