Abstract:Campus landscapes have a significant impact on the visual perception of students of different genders. Using the Xinzhuang Campus of Nanjing Forestry University as a case study, this research first recorded on-site campus videos and extracted static images using the OpenCV library. Second, from a gender perspective, volunteers were organized to participate in subjective visual perception evaluations and objective eye-tracking experiments, and a ResNet50 model was used to predict perception scores for the remaining images. Finally, key landscape elements influencing the visual perception of different genders were identified, and corresponding strategies for campus landscape optimization were proposed. This study aims to reveal gender differences in campus landscape perception and provide scientific support for future campus landscape design.
